Sports and Immigration

Due to the recent immgration laws sports organizations have recently showed their support for the laws that Obama has turned down such as the Arizona immigration law. During the 2010 NBA playoffs, the  Phoenix Suns and the San Antonio Spurs showed their support for the law during game 2 of the NBA playoffs. Robert Sarver the Phoenix Suns owner had his team where their "Los Suns" jerseys. The San Antonio Spurs wanted to wear their "Los Spurs" jerseys but couldn't get them in time. Another one that didnt really didnt go along with the immigration but supported the spanerds was on September 26, 2010, the presentation of Sunday Night Football between the Miami Dolphins and New york Jets was presented as the Dolphins de Miami and the Jets de Nueva York and in some special cities was presented by Spanish-speaking commentators, Jessi Losada, Rene Girardo and Edgar Lopez.
As you can see even during important playoff situations some teams show their support for laws

  1. Yes its good that the teams are supporting the law. I think the Jerseys were a great idea. It does support Obama's law and it also bring diversity to the sports.
